How do I onboard businesses within my marketplace?

To get started onboarding merchants, you need to first create an account and contact your account manager to get your Marketplace Keys. This is what will enable you to act as a marketplace and easily onboard businesses. You will also receive Merchant Keys which will allow you to create transactions.

Once that’s done, you can onboard businesses within your marketplace using the APIs as can be seen below:

Onboarding using APIs:

You can onboard businesses under your marketplace by using our APIs. Follow the steps below to onboard the businesses within your marketplace:

  1. Once the marketplace account is created, create an account for the business you’re onboarding within your marketplace using the Business API. Ensure that you have submitted the required KYC documents to Tap in the business request using the Files API.

  2. When you create a business, you will also receive a unique Destination ID in the business response to process payouts to this business.

Then, using the Charges API, you can easily split the payments to multiple destinations by providing the necessary Destination ID’s. The businesses whose Destination ID’s have been passed in the Charges request will receive their share of the funds and the remaining funds will be automatically transferred to your marketplace wallet.
